A Hollywood producer has become rich through his brutal action films, but he neglects his wife. He is then kidnapped by bandits, escapes and hides. But government agents are after him with a new surveillance system that can assassinate state enemies at will. Contemporary issues are explored, such as alienation from one another despite the use of so many communication technology. The film also is inspired by the film noir of the earlier twentieth century, but is not a true film noir.
