The work is for full orchestra, including 5 percussion players, who each play at least 10 instruments. 
<br/><br/> Commissioned by the BBC Symphony Orchestra and first performed on 24 November 2006 at Hammersmith Town Hall, conducted by Alexander Rumpf. 
<br/><br/> There are five movements: Monolith, Earth, Ascension, Sky and Reflection.
