John Prescott is a former student of Ruskin College. He is an MP and former Deputy Prime Minister of the UK. He was deputy leader of the Labour Party 1994-2007. Prescott came to study at Ruskin in 1963, completing his diploma in politics and economics in 1965. He has described his time at Ruskin as "probably my happiest time ever. It was the beginning of such a huge change in my life, and I'll always be grateful for what happened there."
