A young boy brought up in a well-off family in Shanghai finds himself alone during the Second World War. After fending for himself, he is picked up by the authorities and taken to a Japanese internment camp. Here he has some harrowing experiences but also makes some useful friends.
Certificate PG as it contains moderate violence.
