<p>James McConville worked in the maritime industry before coming to Ruskin College to study economics. He completed his BSc at Hull and his doctorate at Warwick University. McConville is now a Professor at London Metropolitan University, editor of <em>Maritime Policy and Management</em>, and an advisor to government of matters of seafaring.</p>
