Summary, etc. The plot is based on The Iliad and The Odyssey by Homer, but is transposed to the aftermath of the Spanish-American war (1898). The characters of Helen, Penelope, Ulysses, Paris and Achilles are all in the story, as are the gods and godesses who are townspeople. In this recording the songs and music are interspersed with 12 narrations to tell the story.
