T. Scarlett Epstein is a former student of Ruskin College. She studied for a Diploma at Ruskin then completed a BSc in Economics at the University of Manchester. A Jewish Austrian refugee in 1938, she arrived in England and supported herself at first as a seamstress. After Ruskin and Manchester, she went on to become a Professor at Sussex University.
